🇧🇿🎊 Belize @ 45 🎊🇧🇿

A night full of music, dancing, delicious food, culture, laughter, and SO much Belizean pride.

A huge THANK YOU to all our fellow Belizeans who came out to celebrate with us! And to our amazing donors and incredible cooks—thank you for helping make the night so special (and keeping us WELL fed).

The food, the music, the memories… nostalgia was truly an understatement!

From Belize to New Orleans, we carry our culture, our traditions, and our love for home wherever we go.

Happy 45th Independence Day, Belize! 🎊🇧🇿

Belizeans in Louisiana, do you agree with this article? Share your thoughts...

Belize is the only Central American country with English as its official language, offering retirees an outdoors-oriented lifestyle with opportunities for fishing, boating and barrier reef diving.

The country’s Qualified Retirement Program requires retirees to show $24,000 in annual income and offers permanent residency and a tax exemption on income earned outside Belize. Popular retirement destinations include Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, Corozal and Placencia.

A Belizean entrepreneur, Marie Sharp was inducted into the Hot Sauce Hall of Fame in 2016. In 1992, she launched Marie Sharp’s Fine Foods after a trademark battle led to a name change. Her sauces were later imported to the U.S. Global: https://www.forbes.com/sites/maggiemcgrath/2026/01/21/50-over-50-global-2026/?utm_campaign=ForbesMainFB&utm_source=ForbesMainFacebook&utm_medium=social
