With today marking 13 years of Drew’s passing we felt that this was an appropriate night to share our latest charitable endeavor in Drews honor. A few months ago we learned of the story of a New Orleans native Alise Peraino who was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer at age 30 after a routine visit to her OBGYN because she was newly engaged and wanted to talk about family planning. Needless to say, her life was flipped upside down and she and her fiancé quickly got married and she began her fight with extremely aggressive chemo.

We learned that at the same time, she and her husband had bought a home but had no time, energy, or resources to furnish/decorate it. The DRF foundation partnered with their good friend Anthony Ryan Auld, Project Runway Allstars winner who is also a designer. We connected them and he jumped at the chance to design her home. From our initial Zoom call to many group texts later, it has been incredible to see their friendship quickly unfold. Ryan is also a two time cancer survivor so he knows how to make her space feel like a healing sanctuary for her and her husband! We are so happy to have helped make her house into a home! Sunday marked the 12 year anniversary of Drew’s passing, and in his honor, we are asking for donations of $12. Of course any amount you are able to give is much appreciated and there is never a donation too small

The Drew Rodrigue Foundation is committed now, more than ever, to help individuals who are fighting adversity through this difficult time. Keeping safety in mind, our foundation has decided to postpone any large gathering event until further notice.

As always, 100% of our proceeds go to our mission, as The Drew Rodrigue Foundation is a voluntary 501c3 nonprofit organization. Your continued support is always met with heartfelt gratitude from our board members, volunteers, and the Rodrigue family. We wish everyone tremendous health and safety at this time and please stay tuned for future updates on our events, as we know we will all be back together soon!

For many of us, the last couple of years have been very challenging, especially in the nonprofit world. As we continue to join in the fight against the pandemic, The Drew Rodrigue Foundation is committed now, more than ever, to help individuals who are fighting adversity through this difficult time. Keeping safety in mind, our foundation has decided to postpone any large gathering event until further notice. But fear not, our great celebration of the life and legacy of Drew will be back in full swing when it is deemed safe to do so!

In the interim, we would like to still keep Drew’s spirit alive and make an positive impact in our community. Yesterday marked the 12 year anniversary of Drew’s passing, and in his honor, we are asking for donations of $12.
