Why am I Doing This Project
My friend John was killed on his bike by a driver open a car door without looking. This needless tragedy could have been prevented if the driver looked before opening the car door. I replayed the accident many sad nights imagining what I could do to teach drivers and passengers how to open a car door. This inspired me to create Car Door Awareness Campaign, Look Before You Open, a non-profit to teach and promote bicycle safety that will save lives by using the Opposite Hand Technique.
