When Gretchen suffered a serious injury that left her unable to work, she was also facing the loss of her home. The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation's Crisis Grant Program helped her bring her mortgage out of foreclosure, providing stability during one of the hardest seasons of her life.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for the generosity of the LHF and all of the donors that make this fund possible! This crisis grant award has helped me save my home by bringing my mortgage out of foreclosure! I am not able to work for the unforeseen future as I suffered an unfortunate accident during a procedure that was meant to relieve pain in my neck but instead left me with extremely limited use of my arms and legs. Frankly, I don’t know what I would’ve done without this generous award, and I am eternally grateful.
