Louisiana Trans Advocates We're advancing the core human rights of self-determination and expression for all trans, nonbinary and gender nonconforming people in Louisiana.

At this point, there are two basic ways to get involved in LTA. LTA has social support meetings in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and Shreveport, as well as at LSU. We also do advocacy work across the state at the institutional and governmental levels to make policies and legislation trans inclusive.

🚨‼️TRANS LOUISIANIANS NEED YOUR VOICES AGAIN‼️🚨

The Bossier Parish Police Jury, at the request of the Bossier Parish Sheriff, is moving forward with a dangerous ordinance that would criminalize people for using restrooms and other facilities in parish-owned buildings based on the s*x listed at birth.

If you can be in Bossier on Wednesday, September 2, join us at the Bossier Parish Police Jury meeting at 2:00 PM at the Bossier Parish Courthouse and make sure you click the link in our bio to sign the sign-on letter.

If passed, it could force parish employees to police public facilities and expose people accused of using the “wrong” restroom to fines or even jail time. What happens in Bossier Parish could set a dangerous precedent across Louisiana. No one should be questioned, harassed, or criminalized for using a public restroom. Let’s make sure they hear us.

The Bossier Parish Police Jury is considering an ordinance that would criminalize trans people for using restrooms, changing rooms, and similar facilities in parish-funded buildings that don't align with their s*x assigned at birth.

This proposal sets a dangerous precedent that threatens everyone's privacy, safety, and freedom while distracting from the real issues facing our communities.

Here's how you can help:
