Hey Eveyone!!! Today is my birthday, and holy crap has it been a long and trying year. To top it off an auto accident yesterdy almost killed me, broke my hand and destroyed my iPhone and my glasses and my laptop and camera. If you can find it in your heart to help or wanted to get me something, I could use the help. I am gonna try to stay positive….I’m just thankful that the people that hit us survived, they were young, man it really hurt giving them cpr with a broken hand!! 😂 😂

The computer and camera and iPhone I think we all know together is well over 10k so it’s whatever you can do, my glasses on warby Parker are only 99$. Anything and everything helps. Going into this new year broken but hopeful. Just gonna trust in …something…lol honestly I’m barely holdin back tears as I write this but I’ll beat this too! I love you all. When you stop to help someone on the side of the road keep your head on a swivel, and look out for other people please , I jumped with milliseconds to spare! Good deeds don’t go unpunished isn’t true..’just feels that way.

Hello IFN Community,

It has been some time since I've contacted you as I have been very busy with my new job. I have some information to pass along about an exciting project for the independent film community of New Orleans. Please read the following and submit your vote for this project!

In Summary: My name is Richard Slinker and I started a company about 3 years ago Recycling Movie Sets. I Recycle, Re-purpose and Re-use Full Sets, Props and Materials. So far I have kept approximately 65 tons of materials out of our landfills. But, this is just scratching the surface of the amount of usable materials thrown away every day. I have recycled materials from movies such as "The Expendables", "Battleship", "Hijacked", "The Green Lantern", etc..etc. Then what I do is help support low budget to no budget films with usable flats, props and materials to help bring their vision to a higher level. Some of these materials are rented at a fraction of the cost or donated for the cause. The future of this business will be geared to creating a "True Green" facility catering to local Filmmakers, Acting classes and meetings for groups such as IFN. I am also looking to provide Green Screen training.

I recently entered into a Grant contest that is being put on by Chase Bank and Living Social. I need 250 votes before the end of June in order to be eligible. I am asking for your support and voting for my company. Thank You in advance
