LCP attended the 2026 National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) Business Meeting and had the pleasure of meeting CAPT Jacqueline Miller, MD, FACS, Acting Director of the CDC's Division of Cancer Prevention and Control.

Through CDC-funded NBCCEDP support, we're helping Louisiana residents access vital breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services. Early detection saves lives. 💗

LCP was proud to participate in LSU Health New Orleans' Back-to-School Health Fair, joining campus and community partners in promoting health, wellness, and prevention.

Our team educated attendees about breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancer and provided no-cost HPV self-collection tests and screening. Together, we are empowering our community through education, early detection, and prevention. 💙

💙 Help advance cervical cancer research while taking charge of your health.

The Louisiana Cancer Prevention & Control Programs is partnering with the American Cancer Society, LA Cervix Care, and LSU Health Sciences Center to recruit participants for a cervical cancer research study.

Eligible participants will receive a FREE cervical cancer screening and a $25 gift card for completing a survey.

Making prevention more accessible, one conversation at a time. 💙

LCP joined Love Impact Coalition's Baton Rouge Free Clinic Day and spoke to attendees about cervical health and prevention. Through these meaningful conversations, 14 people received HPV self-collection tests, helping break down barriers to lifesaving screening and early detection.

Together, we're creating healthier communities through education, access, and empowerment.
