Today marks the final day of operations for Liberty’s Kitchen.
As we close this chapter, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to you—our community of supporters, partners, alumni, donors, and friends—who have stood by us over the past 17 years. Your unwavering belief in our mission made everything we accomplished possible.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Grand Finale. Your presence, your cheers, and your generosity made our final event not just a fundraiser, but a true celebration of our legacy. From the shared stories and laughter to the powerful reflections from our board, alumni, and staff—this event reminded us of the transformative impact Liberty’s Kitchen has had on so many lives.
Since our founding in 2008, Liberty’s Kitchen has served thousands of young people in New Orleans by providing life skills, leadership development, and career training in a supportive, empowering environment. Our mission has always been to create pathways for young people to achieve their vision of success—through nourishment, mentorship, and opportunity.
We are proud of what we’ve built together:
•Over 1,000 youth served through our programs
•Countless trainees who’ve gone on to careers, college, and leadership roles
•A community café that nourished both body and spirit
•A network of alumni who continue to inspire us
While it is difficult to say goodbye, we know that our work lives on in every graduate who carries our values forward, in every kitchen and workplace where they lead with confidence, and in every corner of New Orleans where hope and opportunity are needed most.
This is not an ending—it is a legacy. One that you helped build.
