2026 New Orleans Hockey Draft Tournament 🎥

08/10/2026

“Who plays hockey in Louisiana?”

HERE IS YOUR PROOF

What started as a wild idea became an unforgettable weekend of hockey.

The New Orleans Draft Tournament was a massive success, and we couldn’t be more thankful for every player, goalie, referee, volunteer, supporter, family member and fan who helped make it happen.

But this weekend meant something bigger.

It showed that there is a real hockey community here. It showed that people will show up. It showed that the passion for this game is alive and well in South Louisiana.

Most importantly, it showed us what could be possible with a permanent place for this community to call home.

Thank you to Premier Soccer Center and Jason Kelly for allowing us to transform the facility into a hockey rink for 1 weekend. 16,000+ sq ft of turf removed in 6 hours was a daunting task at first, but seeing it all come together in such a short time just proves that our organization is willing to do anything to play the sport we love when given the opportunity!

Thank you to Red Stick Roller Derby for coming hang out with us this weekend. We hope this is the beginning of future plans to have a facility that caters to ALL roller sports so we can see our organizations continue to grow!

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!

The turf is out, the wheels are rolling in, and we’re ready for an incredible weekend of hockey!

Six teams will take the floor in Louisiana’s first roller hockey tournament since 2015, with pool play kicking off at 9:00 AM.

Whether you’re a longtime hockey fan or just curious to see what the sport is all about, come out and support the players as we celebrate the continued growth of hockey in South Louisiana.

This weekend is about more than just a tournament, it’s an opportunity to show our community that hockey belongs here and that the demand for a permanent hockey facility is real.
