Krewe de Camp

Krewe de Camp Krewe de Camp provides a traditional sleep-away camp experience for children with various developmental abilities.

Krewe de Camp is an overnight camp, FREE OF CHARGE, for children (6 – 18 years old) and adults (18 years and older) with cerebral palsy or other developmental disabilities. Each camper is paired with one or two high school volunteers who assist them with their day-to-day activities. All high school volunteers are aided by adults with several years of camp service. Krewe de Camp offers a traditiona

l camp experience, including arts-and-crafts, outdoor games, and swimming. Campers and attendants participate in fun night activities, such as a costume dance, a talent show, an outdoor fair and live music concerts.

🖍️ This joyful project reminds every child (and grown-up!) that their light matters, their voice belongs, and their story shines.

With 134 days until Mardi Gras and 229 days until Krewe de Camp 2026, we need a party with our people to hold us over!

The Tucks Charitable Foundation's Gumbo Gras and Umbrella Walk is a huge fundraiser, and a portion of the proceeds support Krewe de Camp! Every dollar raised directly helps us keep KdC absolutely free for all our families.

✨The Most Magical Place on Earth Thursday was the perfect grand finale to our Krewe de Camp 2025 Road Trip! We celebrated our incredible ‘25 graduates—Kallie, Ria, & Will B.—and spent the day living in the moment on our last day of KdC ‘25!

⚜️🏀 The Saints & Pelicans Jr. Training Camp brought the hype with football and basketball drills, t-shirts, trivia prizes, and even a dunk tank full of brave coaches! We got creative with Disney crafts, played musical squares, and ended the night reunited with families and shining on stage at the annual KdC Talent Show.

💜🐯We were honored to receive an amazing donation from Sig Ep at LSU (), whose generous support and helping hands made this week even more magical.

🚸Thursday’s Most Spirited Camper was awarded to Kallie and Elliot!

The inaugural Spirit of Krewe de Camp Awards were given to the Girl & Boy Camper and Attendant(s) that truly embody KdC through their character, participation, & dedication. There were many nominations, but our winners truly stood out this week!
⭐️ Campers Skylar Haydel & Marvin Lockett were chosen as the Spirit of Krewe de Camp for 2025!
⭐️Attendants Faith Queyrouze & Josie Randol (Team Ria) and Anderson Cassebone (with Kendrix) were chosen as the Spirit of Krewe de Camp 2025!

🎲 What Happens in Vegas Wednesday brought the glitz to Krewe de Camp! We made a pit stop in Las Vegas with a visit from the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office—boats, motorcycles, trucks, and even snowballs from Operation Sneaux!

🏆The Krewe de Cup was one for the books as the Boys took home the 3-peat trophy, and the Krewe of Tucks helped us jazz up Mardi Gras umbrellas in true NOLA style! We wrapped up the night with our first-ever Casino Night, playing cards and dice games with our best friends!
