My name is Hermene Anderson. I am the Administrator of Threshold Singers NOLA, (New Orleans, Louisiana). We are an offshoot, all volunteer, chapter of the Threshold Choir International Organization.
After all… we live in a city known for its music. So what better way to honor our cities tradition by lending our voices to those who need our special music at this point in their lives.
Our chapter, lovingly, came into being on August 26th of 2016. Since then our members have shared their voices to those at the thresholds of life: the sick, those ready to cross over, hospitalized, bereaved, terminally ill, or those in need of the solace and comfort our gentle songs bring.
We offer our gift of song to those in the metro New Orleans and suburb areas FREE of charge.
We sing, Acapella, in groups of 3-4 at the bedside of those in Nursing Homes, Hospice, Memory Care Facilities, Hospitals, private homes, when we are invited, and our full membership sings at Celebration of Life Events.
