With more than four decades of leadership, Mr. Goyeneche discussed the Commission’s privately funded, citizen-driven mission to expose public corruption and strengthen the administration of justice to improve quality of life across Louisiana. He shared detailed statistics and reports involving the New Orleans Police Department, the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, and the former New Orleans Mayor’s Office.

His frank discussion sparked thoughtful dialogue, and he took time to answer numerous questions from members. An engaging and eye-opening conversation on accountability, transparency, and civic responsibility.

Thank you to today’s GNOEA guest speakers from the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office - District Attorney Jason Williams, Andre Collins Gaudin Jr. and Daniel Shanks.

We were honored to hear insights from this outstanding team on the New Orleans Data-Informed Community Engagement (NODICE) program — a groundbreaking initiative that uses advanced data modeling to identify and target crime hot spots across the city.

Andre Gaudin, Chief of Screening and founder of NODICE, along with Daniel Shanks, Screening Attorney & Director of Strategic Initiatives, shared how their unit is reimagining the role of screeners, strengthening cross-agency coordination, and partnering with community leaders to reduce major crimes.

District Attorney Jason Williams highlighted how these strategic investments and collaborations are contributing to significant declines in violent crime, including murders, in New Orleans.

A huge thank-you to DA Williams, Andre Gaudin, and Daniel Shanks for their time, leadership, and dedication to making our city safer.
