My name is Ramona Owens and I am Executive Director and Founder of Black People Heal Too. BPHT started after I had a really big breakthrough in therapy. As I sat in bed after the hardest two months of my life, I told God I don’t ever want anyone to not get what they need (therapy) because of a lack of resources, whether it be money or knowledge. I heard start a non profit to help people! And thus we have my passion to provide a helping hand for people to heal! I am a natural born problem solver and I am very excited about screaming to the top of my lungs to my community “Go to therapy!”

I want to encourage you to seek out therapy today for yourself. What our parents and grandparents said about it is a lie! Don’t let anything stop you! Send us a dm or email at [email protected]. We would love to help you!

Happy New Year!🎆 At Black People Heal Too, we took the end of the year to reflect on 2022. It was by far a great start to something great, but there’s a lot more that we are called to accomplish. The same must be said of you! You have a great purpose and sometimes life can make it seem as if you’ll never see it but with the right therapist, all things are possible!

Life can sometimes get the best of us. Sometimes we don’t even know what’s wrong and where to start to find out. I challenge you to be a little more mindful today of your thoughts and how they make you feel. Take 3 mins to have a mental checkin with yourself.
