HandsOn New Orleans

HandsOn New Orleans Big. Easy. Volunteering. We serve as the Volunteer Action Center for the city in partnership with United Way of Southeast Louisiana.

Since March of 2006, HandsOn New Orleans and our volunteers have:
• Engaged 35,000+ volunteers
• Completed 600,000 hours of service
• Impacted 19,500 underserved youth
• Saved the community $13 million through volunteer time

HandsOn New Orleans promotes volunteer service in New Orleans through three initiatives:

Volunteer Leaders are trained local volunteers that plan and lead ongoing service projects alongside local partner organizations. Hands@Work projects are designed and executed custom short-term volunteer projects for corporate groups. Volunteer Housing is provided in a 42-bed bunkhouse facility to cost-effectively host visiting volunteer teams.
