Congratulations to Shaquille O' Neal on earning his Master of Liberal Arts degree from Louisiana State University during LSU commencement — marking an impressive fourth higher education degree, in addition to his Bachelor's, MBA and Ed.D.

As an LSU Basketball legend, he has inspired generations on and off the court, and this meaningful milestone reflects his continued commitment to growth, discipline, and leading with purpose.

We are grateful for the difference Shaquille has made for children and families in Baton Rouge through his support of Ochsner’s pediatric care efforts, including the Shaquille O’Neal Pediatric Super Clinic at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. His generosity and heart for the community help strengthen access to expert care close to home.

His example shows that true leadership is not only about personal achievement. It is also about opening doors for others and investing in the health and future of our communities.
Congratulations, Shaquille!

The countdown is on for 2026 ⚜️

When you give to Ochsner Health on May 5, you’re supporting more than individual care—you’re showing up for an entire community.

This unique program brings cancer survivors together on the water, where they build strength, improve overall wellness and reduce the risk of recurrence—all while learning the art of rowing alongside a supportive team that understands their journey.

It’s more than exercise. It’s connection, confidence and a powerful reminder that survivorship is stronger together.

Excellence took center stage at the 2026 Distinguished Physicians Luncheon on Tuesday, March 24, as leaders, innovators and dedicated clinicians gathered to celebrate the people behind the mission of Ochsner Health.

The event offered a special opportunity to hear from Dr. Andrews, Founder of Andrews Medicine, whose remarks resonated with attendees and highlighted the evolving landscape of healthcare and academics.

We were honored to celebrate our distinguished faculty and staff, recognizing those whose decades of service have shaped Ochsner and strengthened its commitment to excellence in patient care, education and research regionwide.

The presence of numerous academic and clinical leaders further underscored the collaborative spirit and shared mission that continuously drives forward innovation and compassionate care.

Together, the gathering served as both a celebration of past achievements and a reaffirmation of the collective vision for the future.

Thank you to all those who attended and whose dedication defines what Ochsner means to patients and families across the Gulf South.
