Hi all!
You’ve likely assumed the obvious by now, but here it is:
After deliberating beyond the 11th hour, Brian and I have made the difficult decision to bypass Shamrock Our Blocks New Orleans ‘22. This is mostly due to the advanced date of Mardi Gras, which was highly anticipated and so exciting, all eyes were focused on celebrating. As such, there was a somewhat-expected lessened interest in Krewe of House Floats and our event, alike. All of us would’ve had a whole lotta work ahead of us in a wee lil’ bit of time, when the main star of this St Patrick’s Day deserves all our energy and attention…
…yes, I do believe there be a certain parade in the Irish Channel next weekend! ☘️ 🇮🇪
However, this isn’t R.I.P. just yet!! We’re planning to take 2022 to recalibrate, then reconvene with more time to pour our whole hearts into the fun. Besides that, Shamrock Our Blocks 2023 is also likely to come with adjustments, so as to secure it’s niche in conjunction with the Irish Channel St Patrick’s Day Parade.
In the meantime, please keep posting! We still want to see your homes, decorations, & creations! Anything St Patrick’s Day-related you would like to share (now or anytime), please do. Your continued support will only amp up our spirits, and bless all of us with friendship, love and laughter for another 365 days.
