Our heart for Rocky Top All-Stars goes so much deeper than cheer. 💙💗

We want our kids to have a safe space to grow, make mistakes, and know they’re loved while they learn. A place where we lead them spiritually, teach them to take accountability, and show them how to make things right. Where they learn to give grace, believe in themselves, and love others—and where we practice those same things as coaches.

Today we talked about Jesus teaching us to go the extra mile in Matthew 5:41 and what that can look like at practice. Giving another honest effort when you’re frustrated. Encouraging a teammate who’s struggling. Owning a mistake and working to fix it. Helping without waiting to be asked.

These are lessons they can carry into every part of their lives. And we get to help them practice right here on this floor. 🫶

How will you go the extra mile today?

Sometimes the biggest progress in our older kids’ tumbling class is the confidence you can’t see. 💕

It’s taking a deep breath, working through a mental block, and beginning to believe, “Maybe I really can do this.”

Every practice won’t bring a new skill or a perfectly landed one. Sometimes it brings another try, a little more trust in yourself, or the courage to do something you didn’t think you could do.

As coaches, we get to encourage them, meet them where they are, and celebrate those steps right alongside them. Because that moment when “I can’t” starts turning into “I can”—that’s a big win.

We’re proud of these athletes for the skills they’re building and the confidence they’re finding along the way.

Little moments make tumbling so special. 💕

One athlete wasn’t feeling her best but still showed up after team practice and gave everything she could. One made it through two classes without tears from missing her mommy. Another really focused and figured out how to push through her bridge. And they’re all getting a little less scared of doing a handstand to bridge!

These might seem like small things, but to us, they’re BIG wins. Watching their confidence grow, their fears shrink, and their hard work pay off is such a special part of coaching. We’re proud of every one of them! 🩷
