Meet Neva, aka "Beef" 🥩🎾

Neva is a whole lot of dog, and we mean that as a compliment. She's confident, fearless, goofy, and the moment you sit down she'll be there to cover you in kisses. She earned the nickname "Beef" from her foster mom for her shameless drooling over Chef Boyardee Beefaroni.
Her great love: tennis balls. "Obsessed" doesn't cover it. Once she locks onto a ball, she's all business and sticks close to her person to keep the game going. In the right setting, that focus is strong enough that she can even work off leash with her handler. She's also creative about play: a bone becomes a tug toy, a chew becomes a fetch toy, and she recently decided pumpkins are just very large balls. (We're working on that one. 🎃)
Her ideal day: She wakes up ready to go. After a solid morning of exercise and play, she crashes for a 6–8 hour nap and snores like a mini freight train. Then she's up for round two. She'd thrive with an active person or family, ideally with a yard, who will give her daily exercise, fetch sessions, and things to keep her busy brain working.
What to know:�• Neva lives happily with another dog in her foster home. She likes to be the boss, so a laid-back dog who is happy to let her lead will be her best match. Introductions should be slow and structured.�• Because of her energy, strong toy drive, and play style, we recommend a home without young children.�• She's brave about nearly everything except cars passing on walks, and she's making progress on that.
Neva has grown a lot in foster care and is ready for a person or family who loves a big personality. If you want a ball-crazy best friend who plays hard, naps harder, and saves her best kisses for you, she could be your girl. ❤️
