Wedding Gown Waiting List Update 6-5-26

There is roughly 450 names on the waiting list. Some people may not have their gowns yet. I am trying to update the list with your area you live in to help me coordinate once I get to your name.

While we wait, it would be greatly appreciated if you could check with your neighborhood Funeral home or any other organization you may know of. This may include out of state organizations if you have connections to them.

Without places accepting gowns, the waiting list is at a slow crawl.

Also, I need people to sew, even if its only 1 gown. I realize this isn't for everyone and it can be time consuming. I can help you with the process through workshops or a zoom call. or possibly in person.

Message me with questions anytime and I will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner.

Also please be patient, summer is here, everyone volunteers and has busy families and most still work full time.

Last night I received a heartbreaking message from a lady whose niece just delivered a still born at 23 weeks in an Aurora hospital in West Allis and was not offered a gown.

So I mailed out this package to be overnighted to the family.

I also emailed Auroras new volunteer coordinator but heard nothing back.

I got in touch with Kat Murray and she is helping me reestablish a new contract at Aurora and hopefully soon we can start mailing gowns again soon.

I will be soon adding a new pinned post of ways you can help if you wish to do so.
