❤️ The Faces Behind Minooka Summerfest ❤️

When you come out to Summerfest, you see the bands, food vendors, 5K runners, fireworks, kids activities, and packed beer tent.

What you don't see are the hundreds of hours that happen behind the scenes.

Planning for Summerfest doesn't start in May—it starts in September of the previous year. For nearly 9 months, this group works together to secure sponsors, book entertainment, coordinate vendors, plan activities, manage logistics, social media posts, print materials and signage, and handle the hundreds of details that make Summerfest possible.

What's even more impressive is that many of these Lions have been leading these same areas for years—some for decades—bringing experience, dedication, and a genuine passion for our community to this event every single year!

The Minooka Lions Club would like to recognize and thank our 2026 Summerfest organizers for their hard work and commitment to making this event a success.

The New Lenox Lions Club gathered for our Installation Dinner to recognize outstanding leadership, welcome in the new leaders, and celebrate the members who make our mission possible.

A special highlight of the evening was presenting the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award to Lions Lori Fischer and Past President, Bob Adams in recognition of their outstanding dedication, compassion, and service to Lionism. Their commitment has made a lasting impact on our club and the New Lenox community. The Melvin Jones Fellowship Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Lions Club International Foundation.

Over the past 30 days, the New Lenox Lions Club has been proudly serving our community in meaningful ways 💙

🍝 We welcomed nearly 200 local seniors to our annual Spaghetti Dinner—sharing great food, laughter, and connection.
🛍️ We were proud sponsors of the NLSD 122 PTO Mental Health and Wellness Fair, where we distributed reusable bags to attendees and information about the health benefits of volunteering.
🇺🇸 At the Loyalty Day Parade, we celebrated community spirit by handing out American flags and candy to families along the route.
📚Distributed two college scholarships to local graduating seniors

It’s an honor to give back to the place we call home—thank you, New Lenox, for always showing up with such heart!

The New Lenox Lions Club had an incredible time celebrating at today’s Loyalty Day Parade! 🇺🇸 From handing out American flags and sweet treats to seeing the smiles on so many faces, the energy and community spirit were truly something special.

One of the highlights of the day? Watching our Lion connect with local kiddos—so many great photos and even bigger smiles! 🦁

We were proud to be sponsors of the 5K for Mental Illness and Wellness Fair hosted today by the Parent Teacher Organization of New Lenox in the Commons today! It was a wonderful morning filled with community spirit, wellness, and support for healthy living. We love being part of events that bring neighbors together and help make our community stronger!

We are so grateful for the seniors of New Lenox. Your experience, generosity, and community spirit are what make our town such a wonderful place to live.

We were thrilled to welcome so many amazing guests to our annual Spaghetti Dinner for Seniors—it was a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, great food, and music from the incredibly talented Frank Rossi, who truly had the room singing along!

From set-up to take-down, the day was a true celebration of community. Lion Bob’s famous sauce was already simmering the day before, and our New Lenox Lions Club members arrived early to make sure every detail was just right.

A huge shoutout to Sergeant Dan and the Lincoln-Way ROTC—your help made the day run smoothly and ensured our guests had an enjoyable experience.

Many thanks as well to the New Lenox Community Park District for preparing the room, accommodating last-minute needs, and handling the quick take-down—you were fantastic!

And we are especially grateful to theNew Lenox Fire District for offering free blood pressure checks. Your care and dedication to our community do not go unnoticed, and we were so glad to have you as part of the day.
