✨ May Session Recap | You’re So Beautiful ✨

What a beautiful session! 💕

Our young ladies showed up, showed out, and reminded us exactly why we do this work. This month, our Senior Room had an incredible facilitator pour wisdom and inspiration into them, while our Junior Room was full of energy and fun with an amazing activity.

Every young lady walked away with a certificate of dedication — because showing up for yourself and your community deserves to be celebrated. 🏅 They also received gift bags, generously donated by one of our amazing volunteers. 🎁

We gathered together, shared a meal, and took a moment to honor everything these young women have accomplished throughout this year.

And let’s not forget — these ladies are Cohort One! The very first official cohort of You’re So Beautiful, Inc. That is history. 🌸

To our young ladies. their families, our volunteers, and everyone who has supported this journey thus far— thank you. The best is still ahead. 💪🏾✨

Last evening I had the pleasure of attending The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven 2026 Annual Meeting.

Held at the Shubert Theatre , the evening centered on the theme "Community Healing Through the Arts." We heard from incredible leaders, local artists, and a powerful conversation about the role of arts in healing and collective understanding.

It was my very first time attending this annual event, and I went alone — but I never once felt alone. From the moment I walked in, the energy was warm, welcoming, and full of purpose.

I networked, reconnected with familiar faces I'd only ever seen on Zoom, and met amazing new people doing incredible work right here in our community. The community truly came out and showed up for one another.

This is exactly why I do what I do! Moments like these remind me that when people come together around shared values, something special happens.🩷🤎
