🙏🏽 CARING FOR OUR ELDERS IS MORE THAN A RESPONSIBILITY—IT’S A BIBLICAL CALLING. ❤️

The Bible repeatedly reminds us that how we treat the elderly, vulnerable, and those who need support matters to God.

📖 Leviticus 19:32 teaches us to honor the aged, show respect for the elderly, and revere God.

📖 1 Timothy 5:4 teaches that children and grandchildren should put their faith into practice by caring for their own family and giving back to their parents.

📖 1 Timothy 5:8 gives an even stronger reminder of our responsibility to provide for our relatives and household.

But our responsibility extends beyond our own families.

📖 Psalm 82:3–4 calls us to defend the weak and needy, uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed, and rescue those who are vulnerable.

📖 Proverbs 31:8–9 calls us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and defend the rights of the poor and needy.

And as we grow older, there is a beautiful promise:

📖 Isaiah 46:4 reminds us that God remains faithful into old age. He promises to sustain, carry, and rescue His people even when their hair has turned gray.

❤️ Caring for an aging parent.
❤️ Checking on an elderly neighbor.
❤️ Advocating for someone who cannot advocate for themselves.
❤️ Providing companionship, meals, transportation, or support.
❤️ Simply treating an older person with patience, dignity, and respect.

These may look like small acts, but they reflect something much greater: honoring people whom God has called us to honor.

May we never become so busy building our own lives that we forget those who spent theirs caring, providing, teaching, sacrificing, and paving the way before us.

Honor them. Care for them. Advocate for them. Love them.

Because caring for our elders isn’t just good community service—it’s putting our faith into action. 🙏🏽❤️

A New Chapter for Wake Up Community Services 🌻

Today, I am honored to share an important milestone in the journey of Wake Up.

After years of dedication, growth, challenges, lessons, and countless experiences, Wake Up, LLC is transitioning to Wake Up Community Services—a new chapter that reflects the continued vision and commitment to serving our community.

As part of this transition, I, Rosaura Escorbort, will be stepping away from ownership and stepping into the role of CEO of Wake Up Community Services.

This transition represents growth, not an ending. While I will no longer hold ownership, I will continue to serve the organization in a leadership capacity, bringing my experience, passion, vision, and commitment to the work we do.

I am deeply grateful for every person who has been part of the Wake Up journey—our caregivers, clients, families, partners, supporters, and everyone who believed in the mission.

Walking away from ownership does not erase the love, work, sacrifice, or memories that helped build Wake Up. Instead, it allows me to enter a new season of leadership with a renewed perspective and an even greater commitment to the future.

Wake Up Community Services is entering a new chapter, and I am excited to be part of what comes next. 🌻

May this next chapter bring continued growth, stronger community partnerships, meaningful opportunities, and exceptional care to the individuals and families we serve.
