Call for Speakers: On-Ramps to Economic Mobility

Intentional participation in the economy depends on nonnegotiable conditions such as housing stability, early talent pipelines, workforce readiness and dignity.

For this track, we are seeking speakers who can share place-based approaches that move beyond short-term services toward durable economic mobility and long-term participation in the economy.

If your work is helping create stronger pathways into economic participation, we invite you to submit a proposal for the 2nd Annual Inclusive Growth Summit.

For the 2nd Annual Inclusive Growth Summit, we are seeking speakers for Track 1: On-Ramps to Economic Mobility.This track focuses on housing stability, workforce readiness, early talent pipelines and other foundational conditions that support durable economic mobility.

We are looking for place-based approaches that move beyond short-term services toward long-term participation, dignity and opportunity.

Don't miss our panel at the 2026 Yale Innovation Summit, one of the largest innovation gatherings in the Northeast.

On May 28 at 2:30 p.m., our Executive Director, Dawn Leaks Ragsdale, will moderate a timely and important panel: “BUY NEW HAVEN: Institutional Investment in New Haven Through Purchasing Power.”

This conversation will explore how institutions—across academia, government, and the community—can rethink how they purchase goods and services to intentionally strengthen local economic ecosystems.

The Call for Speakers is now open for the 2nd Annual Inclusive Growth Summit. Taking place Sept. 15, 2026, at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, this year’s Summit theme is The Power of the Next Step.

We are seeking proposals from speakers whose work demonstrates real-world implementation, measurable progress, innovative partnerships or emerging models that contribute to a stronger and more inclusive economy.

The Summit will convene leaders from business, education, healthcare, housing, workforce development, transportation, climate and green energy, entrepreneurship, technology, public policy and community organizations to examine what inclusive growth means for New Haven and identify actionable pathways forward.
