Participation in Boy Scouts develops a number of leadership skills. These days not everyone knows about Scouting or what it takes to be an Eagle Scout. This articles outlines some important ways to talk about your scouting experience in your college application for those who may not be familiar with Boy Scouts.

We contacted colleges across the U.S. to ask what effect being an Eagle Scout has on a prospective student’s application to their school.

We have been so busy doing scout things that we have been neglecting our Facebook freinds! Sunday 4288 headed off to Camp Sequassen for a fun time. These two will be providing leadership this week. We will soon have a new crop of First Class scouts.

So thankful for a beautiful long weekend for camping with the boys of 4288 at the wonderful Deer Lake facility. Enjoyed a Five mile hike, chili dinner, bonding over games, fun with rocket copters and turkey dinner.
