On Saturday night we found out about the passing of one of the sweetest, gentlest souls to have gone through our care. Pumpkin was a beautiful old lady who came into our lives about five years ago, and although she quickly left our foster care to go into the loving forever-home of her dreams, she never left our hearts. Pumpkin loved scritches on her dignified white chin, long, sweet snoozes in her bed, and even in her old age, she turned into an absolute prancing puppy whenever she got to walk in the snow. We couldn't be happier with the incredible forever mom who took her in and gave our good girl all the love and soft beds anyone could ask for, and we offer our deepest condolences to her. We love you, Pumpkin.

Please share so Freedom can finally experience a home

FREEDOM is still looking for his forever home. Freedom is such a sweet guy ❤️but he has been through a lot in his 5 years on this planet!

For people interested in helping him, please share his story!

Freedom was brought to the Dan Cosgrove shelter on July 5, 2017, found as a possible bait dog. He had wounds all over his body-- he had surgery that saved his ears and his teeth were either filed or worn down horrendously.

He still awaits for his forever home.....not one application...not one interested party. No one has even asked to meet him :(

We are so so sad for him because he is such a beautiful dog with a wonderful personality. Freedom likes other animals and children but we think he should go into a home where he would get all the love and attention so he can decompress. Can all of our followers please SHARE his story so we can get him a home!?

We just know there has to be someone out there for this sweet guy!

Freedom cannot live his life at the shelter...it is unfair and we don't know how long he will remain happy with us. Please share his story so hopefully someone comes in on his behalf. Please know that the staff is so busy at the shelter that many times they don't see the questions that you post so if you are serious about adopting him or have a specific question please call the shelter at 203-315-4125.
