NYC LGBTQ+ YOUTH: YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Global Alliance for Q***r Leaders (GAQL) is sharing opportunities through the PLUS Study, in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital and GenderWise Lab.

1. Join the Community Advisory Board (Ages 13–25)

Are you an LGBTQ+ young person living in New York? If you identify as bisexual, pansexual, or another plurisexual identity, or experience attraction to multiple genders, you may be eligible to apply.

Meet virtually every other month and help inform research that reflects young people’s experiences.

**2. Teen Focus Groups (Ages 13–17)**

We hosted Beyond the Room and were grateful to collaborate with and join panels and sessions alongside Outright International, Rainbow Road, The Sidebar, and Rainbow Railroad.

🌍 GAQL at UNGA 2026

The Global Alliance for Q***r Leaders (GAQL) is heading into UNGA 2026 with a full agenda of conversations, connections, and collective action.

From September 15–30, 2026, we’ll be joining panels and sessions, attending side events and SideBar events, connecting with partners and allies, and creating spaces for q***r leadership and visibility.

We’re also looking forward to engaging with organizations such as Outright International and many other movements working at the intersection of human rights, equality, and global justice.

We’re bringing q***r leadership into the room ,and keeping the conversations moving beyond the room. 🌈✊🏾

📢 African Human Rights Advocacy Opportunity | Dakar, Senegal 🇸🇳

The 89th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) will take place from 12–21 October 2026 in Dakar, Senegal.

The session will bring together African Union human-rights mechanisms, National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), civil society organizations, NGOs, and other human-rights stakeholders to discuss the human-rights situation across the continent.

For organizations and activists working on LGBTQI+ rights, civic space, migration, gender justice, freedom of expression, and the protection of human-rights defenders, this is an important space for advocacy, visibility, networking, and engagement with regional human-rights mechanisms.

This is a valuable opportunity for African civil society to bring community experiences and human-rights concerns directly into regional advocacy spaces. 🌍✊🏾
