It’s a community-driven event where families donate and pick up school supplies like notebooks, backpacks, uniforms, tech, etc, so that every child starts the year ready.

It’s about making sure LGBTQI kids walk in on day one feeling seen, supported, and equipped.

✨ Earlier this year, GAQL had the honor of hosting a special screening of Transcendence: A Journey of Hope + Healing, a powerful film by Jane C. Wagner and Tina DiFeliciantonio.

The screening reminded us of the power of storytelling,not only to inform, but to create space for healing, understanding, and connection.

At GAQL, we celebrate the people who use documentaries, film, art, and storytelling to bring forward the experiences of people whose voices are often unheard or overlooked.
Telling these stories matters. Creating space for people to be seen, heard, and understood matters.

We are grateful to everyone who continues to tell stories of hope, resilience, healing, and lived experience,and to those who use their platforms to amplify voices that deserve to be heard. 💜
