That’s a wrap on Owen’s 6th annual toy drive!

We were so excited to drop everything off today, visit some old nurse friends, and get a tour of the new pediatric infusion center!

Words can’t express how thankful we are to each and every person who donated a toy or simply helped spread the word. These items mean so much to the staff and kids in every pediatric department at RWJ!

Being in the hospital is not always fun.

Owen has spent plenty of time in the hospital. (His record inpatient stay is 9 days.) Between countless admissions, numerous same day surgeries, 3 years of hospital infusions, and more than his fair share or ER visits - we’ve learned a thing or two about how to pass the time and even have a little fun.

We’re excited to kick off his 6TH ANNUAL toy drive benefiting The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital, where he receives all of his care for Crohn’s as well as kidney disease.

Please consider purchasing a toy from the wishlist. Every item will go directly to a child receiving treatment in one of their many amazing pediatric departments.

THANK YOU for visiting Owen’s Toy Drive!

After being diagnosed with early onset Crohn’s Disease in 2018, Owen had to spent a large amount of time in the hospital. Between the ER, inpatient unit, and same day surgery - we got to know the pediatric staff very well and learned just how much they do for kids.

When COVID hit in 2020, Owen came up with the idea of holding a toy drive to help the hospital restock all of their fun toys. (It was at that time that things like art supplies could no longer be shared due to cross contamination.)

Owen has continued the toy drive every year since. It has become one of our favorite holiday traditions and we love watching it grow!
