Today at Come Again we played with rhythm. Friends Tom and Jami brought an African music immersive experience with stunning visuals. We followed that up with more percussion in our drum circle.

Thank you to Blue Cross NC and Samaritan's Feet International for providing everyone with new, supportive footwear to help our feet keep the beat! We are grateful for your support.

Next week will be all about kaleidoscopes. Go to newbernrespite.org for more information.

Today at Come Again, we learned to create Japanese sumi artwork by painting with feathers; we participated in a sing-a-long, and we practiced Tai Chi. These were new experiences for many of us and we shared a lot of laughs in the process!

Next week we will celebrate Memorial Day.

If you would like more information about Come Again, please contact Lindsay Roberts at newbernrespite.org.

On May 14 at Come Again, we celebrated Spring by crafting butterflies to adorn our tree; learned about “Butterflies in the Garden” from an Extension Master Gardener; and enjoyed a musical performance by a husband and wife duo. It was both an educational and entertaining day!

Stop by next Thursday! We'd love to see you.

Signup is now open for volunteer training on Tues, April 14. Recently, a care partner said that Come Again is "an answer to a prayer and a gift to many." To learn and grow alongside our friends living with dementia, that's quite the gift, too. Call Lindsay Roberts at 919.428.0618 to learn more about volunteering or RSVP at link in the comments.

Thank you all for making the Nov 6 Respite for All Documentary Screening a special evening. The link to watch is in the comments. Enjoy a few pictures of the night taken by Come Again friend, Cliff Hopkins.

On the night we watched it together at Orringer, it also aired on Alabama Public Television. PBS North Carolina, we'd love to see you pick up "A Place of Belonging: How Respite for All Communities Transform the Dementia Journey," too. A year ago, there was one RFA dementia respite program in North Carolina. There are now six! All volunteer-powered and community-driven. What a story to tell!
