Today, the Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Upsilon Tau Sigma Chapter proudly kick off Sigma Week 2026!

This week represents who we are as Sigma men—committed to Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service while living out our motto, "Culture For Service and Service For Humanity."

Throughout the week, we will focus on personal growth, wellness, community engagement, honoring our veterans, supporting our youth through the Sigma Beta Club, and strengthening the bonds that unite us as brothers.

We are excited about the impact we will make, the lives we will touch, and the opportunities to serve our communities with purpose and excellence.

The Sisters of the “Illustrious” Iota Sigma Zeta were proud to stand alongside the Brothers of Upsilon Tau Sigma, to honor our youth Affiliates. Together, we celebrated their advancement to new grade levels, their academic achievements, and their graduations.

The youth of our Zeta Youth Auxiliaries have shown us what joy, hard work, and heart truly look like. Their commitment to learning and growth reflects not only on themselves, but on the families, schools, and communities that helped shape them.

The Blue and White Family proudly participated in the Juneteenth Celebration Parade through the historic streets of New Bern! The "Illustrious" Iota Sigma Zeta were joined by the Brothers of the Upsilon Tau Sigma; Zeta Amicae; and our Youth Affiliates for this amazing event.

We came together to honor the legacy of Juneteenth, celebrate freedom, and showcase the power of unity, service, and community engagement.

Together, we continue to make a positive impact by preserving our history, uplifting our communities, and strengthening the bonds that connect us all. 💙🤍

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors’ strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.

Elder abuse is a serious global issue impacting millions of older adults every year. On this important day, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated stands united in raising awareness about the mistreatment and neglect of our elders.

We are committed to creating a world where our seniors are respected, valued, and protected. Let’s take action by:

💙Educating ourselves and others
💙Supporting and checking in on our elderly community members
💙Advocating for the rights and dignity of older adults
