Greetings from Vesper, Juno, Prada, and Gucci! 💙

We’re excited about the possibility of making a road trip back to the mountains, where Nahimana’s journey first began. One of our wonderful past adopters is hoping to welcome a kitten companion for her cat (a baby of Patches, for those who have been following along for a while!).

To make the trip worthwhile, we need to find loving homes for at least two more kittens. If you know anyone in the Raleigh or Boone, NC areas who may be interested in adopting, we’d be so grateful for a connection.

We have so many sweet kittens looking for their perfect match, and we’d love to help someone find a wonderful new companion.

Two new littles joined Nahimana Kittens two days ago… meet Prada and Gucci!
Their world began under a shed with mama (who is getting spayed through our local, awesome TNR Project Group). They’re only about six weeks old, scared and confused for now, but they’re slowly coming out of hiding. We’ve been medicating their eyes, and they’re healing a little more each day.
More to come with these siblings!

Absolutely. 100%. Perfect. Duo. 🖤🤍

Juno and Sage are still waiting for their home — and we are hoping so deeply that it’s together. Some kittens simply belong side by side, and these two are one of those pairs.

Juno is breathtakingly beautiful, but it’s her giant purr that steals hearts first. You’ll hear it from across the room the second someone starts petting her. She’s affectionate, playful, and loves putting on an athletic little performance whenever the toys come out.

And Sage? Sage is right there beside her for every moment of it. These two tumble, wrestle, chase, cuddle, and nap together in the sweetest way.

We know the right family is out there for them. A home where they’ll be cherished not just as kittens, but as the inseparable little soulmates they already are.

We also want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredibly generous, anonymous donor who gave $500 toward upcoming spay/neuter procedures for Juno, Sage, and a few other kittens. Your kindness is directly helping these babies get the healthy start they deserve, and we’re extremely grateful for your continued support.

We’ve often read that felines prefer their surroundings to stay the same and familiar, avoiding too much change. But here at Nahimana, we’ve found quite the opposite to be true! In fact, we switch things up every week, and both the kittens and our personal cats seem to get a fresh burst of playful energy from it.

In this video, the change was wonderfully simple: we turned a sturdy box upside down, draped one of their favorite soft blankets over it, and placed a kindly donated toy on top. Since then, they’ve been climbing, exploring, and playing all around it with renewed curiosity and frisky excitement.

What simple changes do you make to bring new energy into your feline space? We’d love to hear your ideas!

Quiet and observant, she carries herself like a little queen, finding the perfect perch to watch the zoomies unfold around her.

She’s beginning to engage more with moving rope toys and little things she can bat around. Like a sleepy bear, she loves retreating to cozy hiding spots — a small box cave, the hut at the bottom of the kitten tower, or tucked beneath a tunnel. She’s smart, aware, and always taking in her surroundings.
