Our current League President has also served on the RCS Board, and we’re so grateful for her continued heart for our community 💛

Last week, one of our Board Members heard we had an opening for dinner and stepped in to serve. After spending time with our shelter guests, she noticed something simple but meaningful—they were craving hamburgers and hot dogs.

So that’s exactly what she brought.

It wasn’t just a meal. It was listening, responding, and meeting a need that went beyond the plate. ❤️

If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved, we have several opportunities this month:

🍽 Lunch – Prepare & serve a meal for 100–125 community
Open dates: 5/21 & 29

🍽 Dinner – Provide a meal for our shelter guests and residents, serving around 40 people in a more intimate setting.
Open dates: 5/9, 16, 24, 26 & 30

A little latergram from Cocktails for a Cause Event 🍸✨

This community came together in such a meaningful way, raising $1,240 in support of Journey for Hope here in New Bern at the Cocktail for a cause event 💛

Journey for Hope continues to provide vital support, resources, and encouragement to those who need it most, and this event was a reminder of what can happen when people show up for a shared purpose.

Grateful for everyone who contributed and helped make an impact, together it made a difference.
