As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end…😢

Regretfully, Redbirds Fastpitch 16U will not continue into next season. As is common in this sport, each of our players got to a position where they had to make difficult decisions on what they felt was best for their lives and softball careers. We were fortunate as coaches to be blessed with two fantastic seasons with this great group of young ladies and their wonderful families. We truly felt like a Redbirds Family for these two seasons and wish all of our girls nothing but the best with their futures, whether that’s away from softball entirely, playing for their high school teams, or on their new travel teams.

The sky is the limit for each of you! Keep working hard and dedicating yourself to your crafts! And know, if any of you ever need advice or just a friendly conversation, these coaches are always here!

Redbirds families- please continue to show up for these girls at their high schools, travel teams, other opportunities to support them! There are bright futures ahead!

An emotional day for this group! Most of these girls have been together for two years, with many of those relationships starting well before that in rec ball too! As things go sometimes, a few of these faces will be missing from our family next year as they leave to focus on school, play other school sports, or further their travel careers with new teams. As we prepare for tryouts next weekend and search for those new members of the team, we will forever have these girls in our hearts! It’s been a fantastic run with this group, and we look forward to the next chapter in Redbirds softball! Good luck and tons of love to all of our Redbirds in whatever the future brings!

Oh, and we missed you Lolo!!

The girls came out with a lot of fight against a very strong A level team, but came up short 6-3. The opponent tested our defense more than we’d been tested all season, and we couldn’t be more proud of the progress made! Still one more tournament for these girls to make some noise together! Keep working Redbirds, let’s finish the summer with a bang!!

The girls played in the USSSA Indiana State tourney in Bloomington this weekend. Not the outcome we’d hoped for, going 1-2 for the weekend, but we continue to grow and get better every game. There was a lot of positive this weekend, and some great bonding during the off time! We love our

Another great weekend of softball with the Redbirds families!! We had softball, and puppies, and long breaks, and puppies, and rain delays, and puppies, then more softball!! Did I mention puppies?

Finishing 3-2-1 on the weekend, we definitely took a big step forward in progress in our second tournament back together. Still more to learn from and grow, but we’re headed on the right direction!

We get Father’s Day weekend off, then back at it for Indiana State tourney starting 6/23!
