Are you ready for “The Big One”?

We know a major Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake is part of our future. Being prepared doesn’t mean being afraid—it means knowing what to do, having a plan, and working together as a community.

Join us for a FREE community screening of RUMBLINGS: Preparing for Cascadia on Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 AM at the Tillamook Coliseum Theatre, 310 Main Avenue. Doors open at 9:30 AM.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with state and local emergency response officials, along with practical information about preparing yourself, your family, and our community. There will also be a GO-BAG GIVEAWAY!

Preparedness is a shared responsibility, and the more prepared each of us is, the more resilient Tillamook will be when disaster strikes.

Please share this post, bring your family, and invite your neighbors. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Cascadia threat and the simple steps we can all take today to be better prepared tomorrow.

Information for residents and visitors of Netarts and Oceanside.

Our communities are under HIGH-RISK fire danger through September.

Fire fuel loads are extremely high, and we strongly encourage you to create DEFENSIBLE SPACE around your home and property. We also ask that you forgo any outdoor burning.

Please familiarize yourself with your evacuation routes and have a "Go Bag" / Evacuation Bag ready.

If Evacuation Routes are impassable, the SAFETY ZONE for Netarts is the Boat Ramp / Schooner Restaurant parking lot. The SAFETY ZONE for Oceanside is the Oceanside Beach parking lot. Happy Camp Beach is also a SAFETY ZONE but has limited access / parking.

Info sharing on Tillamook wildfire protection plan

Hello All, the Final DRAFT of the Tillamook Community Wildfire Protection Plan is now available for public review. The review period began June 29th and will end July 19th. The plan was introduced to the public with a series of meetings in Nehalem/Manzanita, Tillamook, and Pacific City on June 30th and July 1st. Additionally a presentation was made to the Tillamook County Commissioners on July 1st. Plan completion is anticipated for July 31st.
