Hello all,

The Netarts-Oceanside Fire District needs volunteers to keep an eye on the beach between 9 and 10:30 p.m. while fireworks are going off.

Volunteers will communicate with fire district staff to report any concerns or dangers.

Volunteers ARE NOT expected to engage with people setting off fireworks nor enforce Tillamook County's Fireworks Ordinance.
If interested, please email [email protected] and [email protected] to learn more about this volunteer opportunity.

Another Volunteer Opportunity (especially for Early Birds) may be the Beach Cleanup.

Join WEBS and Oceanside Action Partnership (OAP) and fellow volunteers as we clean up debris left behind from July 4th celebrations.

Date: Sunday, July 5th
Time: 10am-12pm
Meeting Location: We will meet on the patio of The Schooner Restaurant. Look for signs for SOLVE and the Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS - we'll have a bright blue pop-up tent at our check-in table!
Advance Registration highly suggested but not required: SOLVE | Netarts/Oceanside Beach Cleanup - July 5th, 2026

You won't want to miss the yummilicious bonus. Pearl Point Oyster and The Schooner are teaming up to put on an oyster BBQ for volunteers.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: We will provide clean gloves, trash grabbers, and a limited supply of buckets to borrow. Please bring your own bucket if you have one!

Restrooms: Public restrooms are available at the Netarts Boat Basin.

Parking: Limited free parking is available at The Schooner. If you have a Tillamook County parking pass, please bring it and park in the Boat Basin parking lot to keep free spots available for those who do not have a parking pass!

Transit: The Tillamook-Oceanside-Netarts line of the NWConnector stops right across the street from our starting location. https://nwconnector.org/routes/tillamook-oceanside-netarts/

Please spread the word. Wishing you a festive yet safe Independence Day Celebration!

Kind regards,
