The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has forecast temperatures that meet Monmouth County's Code Red Alert criteria. As a result, a Code Red Alert has been issued beginning September 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM and continuing through September 4, 2026 at 7:00 AM.

During a Code Red Alert, community organizations, service providers, and residents are encouraged to help identify and assist individuals who may be experiencing homelessness or who are unsheltered. Connecting vulnerable residents with cooling centers and other available resources can help prevent heat-related illnesses and save lives.

Individuals seeking a cooling location should contact the municipality where they are currently located or utilize one of the designated cooling centers available throughout Monmouth County. Assistance is also available through the Collaborative Support Program of New Jersey's Code Red Community Outreach Team.

The Adolescent Housing Hub (AHH or the Hub) is a real-time database designed to assist youth with placement in a transitional or permanent housing program.

AHH is managed by the Office of Housing under the Department of Children and Families. AHH services are available to eligible homeless youth, youth at risk for homelessness, and youth aging out of the child welfare system, ages 18 – 21 years.
