Friends of Small Beginnings, or anyone who has the love to help others, we have EXCITING NEWS!!!
We were looking to find a place of our own, to call home, to do outreach work within the community. We decided as a group we serve a BIG God, so we decided to pray BIG! We were gifted Faith Baptist church in Nebraska City!

We need your HELP! It has a bat problem and needs a lot of work!

We are a group of 6 women. We all knew of each other from the community, but none of us were close friends at that time, but somehow (God) brought us all together. Our love for Jesus and our passion to help others is the foundation of our organization. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Our mission is to intentionally connect within our community offering love, faith, promised hope, and light to guide you through life’s challenges.

Our 1st project is to raise money to get the bats 🦇 removed, which is $1500. If we are fortunate enough to raise more money than what is needed, we want to put the excess towards remodeling our beautiful church! We need to get it cleaned up, painted, flooring, appliances, doorways widened, handicap ramp, bathrooms remodeled, etc. Our goal is for this space to be ADA complaint so we can serve all members of the community.

To be 100% honest, we dont know what God has in-store for this beauty, But we want to be faithful and follow His lead.
For now we plan to:
*Host our soup supper there this coming fall, which is currently held at First Baptist church
*Have an office space
*A place to store food for our community food pantries (2 more will be coming!)
*Host women's group
*Bible studies
*Youth group
*A safe space if someone is in need of housing for a few nights, before we can find them resources
*Possibly hosting other groups/classes in the community
*Possibly a senior center (we’d need funding and daytime volunteers for this one)

A special thank you, to Dr. DeFreece for helping us get connected with others in the community and helping us get connected with Jim Kuhn. Jim has been instrumental with helping us envision the construction process for the church, and continues to help us with clean up and restoration.

Easter is less than 3 weeks away. Small Beginnings would like to donate 3 hams to 3 families. The first 3 people to message us will get a ham. Thank you and God Bless.

It's our last supper for the season. Please join us. Everyone is welcome! See you Friday!

Okay folks, we are doing our last soup supper for the season a little differently. Since Friday is in the upper 60's and not your typical soup weather we will be serving pizza. Please join us Friday, February 27th from 4:30-6:30 for pizza, veggies, fresh fruit and amazing cinnamon rolls provided by Sadie Collet. Please come see us. Everyone is welcome! We have enjoyed serving our community this season.

Renee did an excellent job on teaching about real relationship with JESUS versus religion and the lies of the enemy. It was so good.
She gave us a challenge : write down in a notebook , the lies the enemy speaks to you . Cross it out. Write down what GOD says about you.

This group is about building real relationships with other women and JESUS!

Good evening neighbors and friends. We are so fortunate to have people donating to the food pantries. Unfortunately all of this canned food had to be removed due to the temperatures. Please read through the information that is posted on the inside of the doors before you donate. We have included some information in this post as to why canned goods are not acceptable during the winter months. If you want to donate canned goods please reach out to us through messenger and we can arrange pick up. We can store them in a temperature controlled environment until it gets warmer. We are very grateful for donations. Our community is amazing at coming together!
