⚠️ SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING – GRIMES COUNTY ⚠️
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Grimes County until 3:15 AM CDT.
A severe thunderstorm near Huntsville is moving northeast at 45 MPH.
Hazards include: 💨 Wind gusts up to 60 MPH ⚡ Dangerous lightning 🌧 Heavy rain 🪨 Small hail possible
Residents in northeastern Grimes County should move indoors immediately and stay away from windows. Expect possible damage to trees, roofs, and power lines.
Stay weather aware and monitor local weather sources for updates.

Grimes County Flood Watch

A Flood Watch is in effect through Monday evening for Grimes County and nearby Southeast Texas counties.

Heavy rain may cause flooding in:

Low-water crossings
Creeks and streams
Poor drainage areas
Roads and low-lying locations

Rainfall totals may reach 2–4 inches, with isolated 5–6 inches possible. Heavy downpours could produce very fast rainfall rates.

Safety reminder:
Turn around, don’t drown. Never drive through flooded roads. Monitor weather updates and be ready to act if a Flood Warning is issued.
