I also want to let everyone know what we've had going on in the last couple months.
As you know we have had a few cruise ins at the depot, we have been blessed with some awesome sponsors that have helped us be able to give out free food and drinks at each cruise in. With the money that has been raised we were able to pay the insurance and lease agreement with the railroad for a whole year!!! That means we we will be able to continue to offer these free events for at least a year, however please understand that the Historical Society is a non profit ran strictly on volunteers so we do truly truly appreciate any and all donations at these events, wether its cash, sponsorship, participation, or volunteering. Donations are what allows us to keep the power and water on. We also need to update some electrical issues so we can provide lights throughout the whole park, update some water lines to deal with a leak that we were unaware of, build a ramp for wheelchair accessibility, update our bathrooms, there is so much that we volunteers put into having these events but without the community donations and participation we would not be able to do it.

We have a Halloween event in October, planning a Thanksgiving event in November, and we are also looking to do something special for Christmas, if you, your business, your church, or group would like to sponsor an event or just make a tax free donation we greatly appreciate it. I have had a few people ask about donating through cash app, we dont have a cash app or venmo for the Historical Society but if you would like to donate you can send it to on cashapp or [email protected] through paypal or venmo, or old school snail mail to Nauvoo Historical Society P.O. Box 113 Nauvoo Al 35578. Remember any and all donations are a tax deduction and go directly to allowing us to continue these fun and free events.

I cannot say Thank You enough to show our appreciation for those that continue to support us. If you have any questions, comments, suggestion, or would like to sponsor one of our events please contact Jessica House Mcdaniel here on fb, through email at [email protected] or you can text me at 205-471-5830.

This will be a fun event! Let's get together and have something for the kids!!! We need as many people as possible to come set up a table, tent, trunk, or just a bucket, and hand out candy to the community. There's so little for the kids to do in this county so lets give them a fun night. The Nauvoo Little League will also have a trunk or treat set up at the ballfields at the same time.
If you are able to set up and give out candy please contact Jessica House Mcdaniel or Clay Hall so we can have an idea of how many we will have set up.
This will also be a cruise in so bring your old cars, new cars, bikes, tractors, whatever you want to bring and show them off.
