Join friends and neighbors to test your knowledge of the United States as we celebrate the nation's 250 anniversary.

As part of Nauvoo's 250 America celebration, the Nauvoo Betterment Association is sponsoring an America trivia event on March 8 at 2 PM with topics covering the past 250 years.
A great time to share your knowledge or to learn more about our great country. Teams of 8 ($10/person) will compete for the grand prize of a America gift basket. Door prizes of tickets to the Lincoln Museum in Springfield and an American flag set will be given.
And all will enjoy an America 250 birthday cake.
Gather your friends to make a team or individuals will be assigned a table. Registration forms at City Hall and Library.

As October approaches, it’s time to think scarecrows and the 9th annual Scarecrow Festival. This year our crow builders are encouraged but not required to follow the theme of Legendary Folk/Super Hero. Scarecrows will be in display during the month of October.
Crows must be registered and on display by Wednesday, October 1 to be eligible for judging. Forms available at City Hall and the library. Categories this year are “Best Legendary Folk/Super Hero”, Most Creative Crow and the Facebook judged People’s Choice. All scarecrows will be displayed on the Nauvoo Betterment Association’s Scarecrow Festival page. Simply “like” your favorites with the winner receiving the most votes.
