Naugatuck Basketball Association The Naugatuck Basketball Association is for players between the ages of 14 to 18 that are high school students. The league started in 1973.

Naugatuck Basketball Association playoffs 2026
53rd Season
In a series of upsets in the Quarter finals. The semifinals were reshaped with the 6th and 7th seed moving on to face each other. The Number One Seed, Coldwell Banker Realty, 2000 face Rich’s. Car Works, the number four seed in one semifinal and the other semifinal. The B & G Sports Company would take on Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home.
QUARTERFINALS
B & G Sports Company defeated Ion in the first quarterfinal, 63 to61 as Manny Perez led the way with 20 points, Juhl Arias added 15. For Ion, Ryan Clapes had 16 points, Austin Tavares had16 points as well. Coldwell Banker Realty 2000 defeated Liberty Bank 44 to 28. Zayquin Wiley had 15 points and Isaiah Portalatin added 13.
Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home defeated the Elks 54 to 42 behind Bryson Irish's. 28 points and Tyler Accetura added nine points for the winners. Elks led by Eric Harriot 19 points and Yensy Varena added eight points for the Elks.
Rich’s Car Works defeated Nardelli's Grinder shop, 56 to 45. Miguel Morales had 22 points. For Rich’s Car Works Sultan Aly added 12 and Damian Devalle had 10 points for the winners. Nardelli was led by Josh Rucker with 38 points.
SEMIFINALS
In semifinal action, B&G Sports Company was beaten by Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home 52 to 42. Bryson had 18 points for the winners, Tyler Accetura added 11 points and Logan Cruz 7 for the winners. B&G Sports Company was led by a trio of players with 10 point seach, Dylan Goodall, Ameechi Frazier and Manny Perez.
Coldwell Banker Realty, 2000 defeated Rich’s Car Works 44 to 38. JJ Rumble led the winners with 15 points, Qwenturvous Lee had 7 points and Zayquan Wiley added eight for the winners. Rich’s Car Works was led by Miguel Morales 21 points and Marcellus Brock added seven.
FINALS
Finals will be played starting Friday. April 10th at 7:00 PM at the Armory. Between Coldwell Banker Realty, 2000. And. Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Homes. The second game would be on April 12th at 7:00 PM at the Armory. And the final game, if necessary, will be played on Friday, April 17th at 7:00 PM. Again at the Armory.

Second week of the season is in the books and standings at the start of the 53rd season are attached.In week one, Josh Rucker had 31 point s for Nardelli's but the defending champs Ion prevailed 53 to 47 as Ryan Clapes had 2 points. Austin Tavares added 10 and Christian Carrasco 9 all for ion. Buckmiller Ford Mengacci beat Liberty 36 to 29. Bryson Irish had 16 and Jacob Hurd 12 for the winners. Tyshon Wells had 13, Franklin Torres and Damien Nieves 6 each for Liberyty. Coldwell Banker Realty 2000 defeated the Elks 60 to 29 as Jamylle Planas had 11 for the Elks and Yensy Vareia had 9. JJ Rumble had 16 for the winners.

Week two Coldwell Banker Realty 2000 defeated Buckmiller Ford Mengacci 51 to 39 as Logan Stone had 19 for Coldwell and Tyler Accetura had 9, Bryson Irish 16 and Logan Cruz 10 for the funeral home. Elks dropped Nardelli's 56 to 41 as Eric Harriot had 19, Jamylle Planas had 14 and Landen Kelly had 13. Josh Rucker had 29 for Nardelli's.
Ion beat B&G 69 to 53 as Ryan Clapes had 15, Austin Tavares 13 and Christian Carrasco added 12 and Noah Phaneuf turn in an excellent defensive effort.
Manny Perez had 23 and Anthony Ruccio 10 for B&G.
Rich' Car Works defeated Liberty Bank 55 to 33.Isaiah Smith had 12, Miguel Morales 14 and Damian Devalle 10. Damien Nieves had 11, Kalib Thorpe 9, Jadiel Rivera 8, Franklin Torres had 12 rebounds and Jaren Augustin had 5 steals all for Liberty.

The second anf final tryout will be at hillside school on friday 12/19/25 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Registration form needs to be signed by a parent and player and the form is attached to our page. $80 fee can be paid in cash or check made payable to the NBA.

REGISTRATION FORM IS TO DELIVERED TO MCSHERRY LAW OFFICE 38 FAIRVIEW AVENUE NAUGATUCK with Registration Fee of $80.00 (checks payable to NBA), or Registration/tryout is between 6 pm and 8 pm Friday, December 12th, 2024 at the Hillside School RETURNING PLAYERS MAY REGISTER WITH YOUR COACH
All players must fill out and sign a registration form with a parent’s and player’s signatures. The $80.00 registration fee must be paid. New players must also bring a birth certificate and attend tryouts in order to be placed on a team. (Detach - keep top portion)
