Sunrise Side Animal Rescue Our group is a Michigan-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and administer the necessary medical care for abandoned animals in our community, then find new loving homes for them.

Joy to the World!

Our tiny bundle of purrs, whiskers, and happiness has found her way home. Sweet Joy was discovered at Pet Supplies Plus in Bay City (our partner), and it didn’t take long for her to meet the momma she was meant to love.

Here she is, headed home and already starting her happily-ever-after. Another beautiful match made, another little life changed.

If your heart has room for a new feline friend, stop by the store and meet the cats and kittens waiting for their own “from alone to a home” story.

Home Run!

The owners and the patrons of Cast Iron Grill teamed up to slam one out of the ballpark for our Tigers fundraising event! All the tickets for our raffle sold out in record time! $1,465 was raised, with $352 of that coming from the donated sales of loaded nachos, pulled pork nachos and pretzel bites with cheese appetizers!

Thank you Tabitha and Scott Menard!

We can rescue many animals with those funds!

Our winner, Stephanie Johnson, took home $420 in prizes including a Tigers Neon Sign, Tigers Flag, a Case of Miller High Life Beer, a Dozen Ball Park Franks and Buns, Detroit Tigers Champagne, Rare All-Star Game Ticket and Pins, a Tigers Hat, Jersey and T-Shirt, Lottery Tickets, Cracker Jacks, Peanuts and a Cooler!

Special thanks to Lakeview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, Vickie Price, Walt Kendra and the members of the Sunrise Side Animal Rescue Board who donated the prizes!

Cheers to Bourbon and Scotch!

Our handsome Russian Blues have officially found their forever home, and we couldn’t be happier to raise a toast to their new beginning.

These beautiful brothers were discovered by their new family at Pet Supplies Plus, our wonderful partner in Bay City.

If you’re looking for a whiskered companion of your own, stop by and meet the felines currently waiting there. You just might find the perfect purr-son to bring home.

Roar!

Our friendly girl Tiger now has a place to call home! Her new family is overjoyed! They rescued her mom this past winter, then she and her siblings showed up soon after! It's uplifting to see Tiger experience the comfort and love she deserves.
