Did you know there are approximately 9,000 children in Tennessee's foster care system across 95 counties?

At My Bag My Story, we believe that each one of those children are deserving of dignity, comfort, and the simple knowledge that someone cares.

That's why we launched, My County My Story, our initiative to raise enough money to ensure that each foster child across the state has a backpack or duffle bag to call their own.

Thanks to a community that loves lavishly, a foster family was able to easily say “yes” to a sibling group of two.

When the call came, they opened not only their home, but their hearts...and because of your generosity they didn’t have to do it alone.

These backpacks donated by My Bag My Story filled with donations of clothing from our bin buddies, a car seat, a crib, and other essential items are far more than just items...they are comfort and serve as a reminder to two children entering a difficult season that they are seen and cared for from the very beginning.

At Isaiah 117 House, we believe every “yes” matters.

Your donations help ease the transition for foster families so they can focus less on the immediate needs and more on loving the children placed in their care.

We’re so excited to share that My Bag My Story has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Nashville Predators Foundation!

We had an incredible time celebrating with so many amazing organizations that are making a difference in our community, and we’re beyond grateful to be among them.

This grant will directly support our mission to provide high-quality duffel bags and backpacks to children in foster care so that no child has to carry their belongings in a trash bag.

Thank you, Nashville Predators Foundation, for investing in the future of foster children and helping kids feel seen, valued, and supported.
