In 1985, Nashville CARES began with a mission born out of urgency, compassion and grit: to care for our neighbors living with HIV, and to fight the surrounding stigma. We've evolved from crisis responders to leaders in public healt

h, equity and innovation. CARES now provides dignity, acceptance and unwavering care for 20,000+ individuals across Middle Tennessee each year. As the scope of our mission continued to expand, it became clear that this life-changing work would be even more effective if we could reimagine our clinic as a separate (but closely related) entity. By establishing CARES 360 as a full-service health equity provider, the CARES family is already setting a new standard for inclusive, community-based healthcare. But this new chapter isn’t just about us. It’s about everyone who believes that empathy-based healthcare is a right, not a privilege. It’s about building a Tennessee where no one slips through the cracks. A community where all healthcare is holistic. Where dignity leads the way. It’s about you.

19 years of nursing. One mission: making sure no one navigates HIV care alone.

So who is Amy Fisher, RN? As one of our RN Case Managers for Nashville CARES / CARES 360, Amy brings more than 19 years of clinical experience to the people she serves. She coordinates care for individuals living with HIV and bridges the gaps between patients, providers, and community resources so no one falls through. Her background in hospice and palliative care shaped a person-centered approach rooted in real compassion, and as a certified AIDS Nurse through the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, she keeps people connected to the care they deserve. She joins us from Vanderbilt Health, and on July 22, we get to celebrate her.

¿Quién es Amy Fisher, enfermera titulada? Como una de nuestras enfermeras gestoras de casos de Nashville CARES / CARES 360, Amy aporta más de 19 años de experiencia clínica a las personas a las que atiende. Coordina la atención de las personas que viven con el VIH y tiende puentes entre los pacientes, los profesionales sanitarios y los recursos comunitarios para que nadie se quede desatendido. This Pride Night, one spot on the field belongs to someone who's more than earned it!

Nashville CARES / CARES 360 is proud to name Amy Fisher, RN Case Manager, the Hero of the Match for Nashville SC Pride Night. On July 22, Amy will be honored at midfield in front of a packed house for the way she shows up for people living with HIV, with honesty, respect, and zero judgment. This past March, she took that commitment to the Tennessee State Senate Judiciary Committee, testifying to challenge HIV stigma face to face. Now it's her moment, and we want the whole stadium to be loud for it.
