Grateful for our partners at Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and intentional outreach efforts. We could not do it without you!
Our Tennessee team has been out and about in Nashville, meeting and providing water, food, and additional resources to our unhoused community, along with local police.
Having no fixed place to live vastly increases the risk of being trafficked, so it is crucial that we proactively meet people within these communities to offer support and information.
Olivia Messina, Hope for Justice Tennessee Program Lead, visited a number of high-risk areas in downtown Nashville, alongside the Quality of Life Outreach Team from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
Olivia said: "We aim to identify and support people who are currently being exploited, while also working together with these communities to spread the word about the risk of trafficking."
"It's vital that those at increased risk are aware of the available resources and signs and know they can turn to us for support. That knowledge also has a crucial ripple effect on the rest of their community, who in turn become empowered with information to protect themselves.”
