Micah Fellows Program is a learning journey cohort for faith-rooted leaders in Arkansas who want to strengthen their advocacy to alleviate poverty. As moral actors for collective flourishing, faith leaders in Arkansas hold a significant role in healing the state’s legacy of dispossession in vulnerable communities. Fellows typically have the ability to leverage resources within their faith institutions to mobilize their members toward increased political leverage in their locale. Applications are due THIS FRIDAY for this cohort running from September 2026 to June 2027.

We pay homage to these and all q***r womanists who have upheld our tradition in its fullness since the term and definition were offered by Alice Walker. Our liberation depends on one another. Happy Pride!

Ristina Gooden has returned with a blog post examining how the weakening of our democratic power has and continues to impact Black women and girls. Amidst threats to our bodily autonomy and threats from intimate patriarchal violence, losing political power is an added insult to injury. Our radical imagination keeps us spiritually sustained when dominating forces want us to believe hope should be lost.

Faith Matters Network is a womanist organization rooted in the belief that our love for one another is our best chance at staying safe.
