The Wildstream PHamily mourns the devastating loss of our precious PHamily member, Allison ChĆ© ChĆ© Rawl (Chambers). Cheā Cheā experienced the peace found at Wildstream in early 2017 and returned numerous times as a Sherpa to walk alongside others navigating the wilderness of divorce. She also contributed to much of the furnishings of Eagles Rest, the home of Wildstream, leaving a lasting mark on the place and the people she loved.
We are praying for the Chambers family and friends who have lost their precious daughter, sister, and friend. May you know Godās comfort as He grieves alongside you in this profound earthly loss.
For anyone in a coercively controlled relationship, Wildstreamās ministry partner, Called to Peace Ministries, has certified advocates ready to listen and connect you to resources including helping you communicate with your own pastor. Churches with a heart to help, but feel ill-equipped to do so? CTPM is also available to consult with pastors and to send a team to any church who wants training in how to better respond to reports of coercive control through their Church Partnership department and Protect the Flock training program.
For anyone navigating the heartache of divorce, Wildstream Retreat has Sherpas available to walk alongside you, online support groups, and a weekend retreat to experience peace in wilderness.
May we all be open to learning how to better respond to and support those in crisis. The answer is never, āreturn to your controllerā, but to speak to her identity as the beloved of God, who He wants to protect and set free from her capturer.
We are available anytime to connect you or your loved one with those who understand and are trained to help.
