It started with an offhanded comment from a college student in our lives, who said, “There’s no clocks anywhere anymore.” I also realized I’m so sick of having to pull out my phone and unlock it to know what time it is. So Operation Clock began, buying big and small clocks to put around our house and going back to wearing an analog watch. One of my biggest takeaways is that when we removed analog clocks from the visual space in our world, we stopped noticing the passage of time. Digital clocks don’t show show time passing, they just display numbers changing. An analog clock with a second hand physically shows the passage of time.

This man has gone to war for our boys. Not ever pictured: late nights and early mornings in prayer for them, sending out texts to our family with scripture and encouragement, LONG days of work to make sure everyone’s needs are met, going last, eating whatever’s left (with lots of sauce) organizing college storage units, always genuinely interested in every detail the boys wanted to share, ready to give whatever they needed, teach them something new, or just listen. He is a humble servant leader who chooses to see the best in them, and he is fiercely proud of them. We are so blessed to celebrate him on Father’s Day!

This warning is on every ni****ne product advertisement (pictured here, a convenience store, several advertisements right next to each other). The message is loud and clear only because the companies were forced to comply with federal regulations around addictive products.

What if every time you opened social media you had a message that reminded you it was addictive, and forced you to click a button to give consent for the harm you might experience? I have a feeling that would make more parents delay their child’s use of social media.

So incredibly thankful for equipping the Church with FREE courses on the Learnworlds platform! We recorded one today on Technology and Spiritual Health. It is a joy to partner with God’s people in this work!
