Distinguished Young Women of Music City Distinguished Young Women of Music City is a college scholarship program for high school junior girls in Davidson, Maury, Sumner & Williamson Counties, TN.

DYW of Music City is a local program to the official preliminary of Distinguished Young Women national scholarship program that promotes leadership, community involvement, and talent in young women. The Music City local program is open to junior girls from public & private high schools in Davidson, Maury, Sumner & Williamson County, TN. We celebrate the amazing talents and accomplishments of five high school junior girls across Middle Tennessee today at the Class of 2027 Distinguished Young Women of Music City and Middle Tennessee At Large program.

Over the last four weeks, we have worked with these girls on interview and public speaking skills, how to be mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy, and what is means to Be Your Best Self. Today they will all be evaluated on Scholastics, Interview, Fitness, Talent and Self Expression with an opportunity to advance to our State program in July.

We had a successful fitness rehearsal and mock interview session at Lipscomb University—and it was extra special because it was our first time meeting in person! 💪🎤

The confidence, preparation, and energy in the room were incredible. Great work to each of these young women for showing up, supporting one another, and giving it their all. This is just the beginning! 👏✨

✨DYW of Tennessee on a Mission! ✨

This summer, our very own Distinguished Young Woman of Music City and Tennessee, Hanna Jung, had the privilege of serving in Ethiopia through the Make Your Mark program organized through her Korean church. For 10 days in Addis Ababa, she shared stories, prayers, games, music, and creativity with local children — building friendships that crossed language and culture.

Hanna’s role? Playing music, translating stories between her Korean pastor and local church leaders, and leading laughter-filled activities that reminded us all that joy is a universal language. 💛

She came home with a full heart, deeper faith, and a renewed passion for serving others. 🌍✝️

This past weekend in Cleveland, TN, she wowed the judges and audience alike — taking home over $4,000 in scholarships and earning awards in Talent, Interview, and Scholastics. 🏆🎻🧠💬
