It’s almost time for our First Harvest. In our area, we consider more to be our midsummer because our growing season is so long here in Middle Tennessee, but the sentiment is still the same.

This year, our group will celebrate by floating down the Red River in friendship to celebrate sisterhood and the natural environment we have been blessed with here.

It’s our birthday! 20 years! And with that, a name change to reflect our latest incarnation. The Crooked Crossroads Society is now the Black Orchid Society, named after our women’s group. What does this mean? We’re still the same folk magic practicing, ancestor venerating, apothecary running group of ladies you’ve always known. We’re just officially changing our name.
