Someone asked, "how do I feel God's presence?"
My answer may sound simple, but in search of it, it is hard to realize. First, to have a closeness with God, you must have a likeness of Him, or a deep need for Him. Rather it be love, forgiveness, mercy, or another attribute, there's gotta be a connection point. Mine is empathy. Through my sadness and sorrows, I long for everyone & everything to be better. I find the beauty in it's wisdom. Wherever there's peace, you'll find Him through that connection point.

The disappointments in this life are far too many to count. This is why the world (Satan) urges us to rely on ourselves. But as our vision shifts, and our anxiety accelerates, fear takes hold like a vice grip. The worries of the flesh only weaken our hearts, corrupt our minds, and distort our vision causing us to place more faith in ourselves than in God. The world will go through a tremendous amount of effort to distract us. One of our greatest spiritual weapons is prayer. James 5:16 assures us of the power of prayer; powerful and effective. The Bible translates "powerful" as a combative and energized force from God. No matter our struggle, concern, or temptation, we should always turn to prayer first.

We experience things that we do not understand and when our lives take a turn for the worse, we try to find a way to discern what The Lord is thinking.

But His purposes are hidden from us until the moment it happens. Though the wicked may seem like they've won for a moment, the final victory belongs to Christ and those who believe in Him.

One of the most famous characters in the Bible is Joseph in the Book of Genesis'. His story spans the whole Book. He faced one struggle after another, then his brothers sold him into slavery.

The actions of God made little sense to him, but when the story of Joseph's life was written in full, it was plain to see that everyone who was against him was a small part of a much larger pitchure.

Over the course of several years the Lord used numerous of people to bring a humbled young man unexpectedly into power at the right moment. This power allowed him to save his family from certain death and help countless others along the way. So you see, no matter how quickly the course of our lives change, if we endure, the sun will shine upon us once again. And perhaps, much brighter.
