GOP NEEDS BALLS, NOT BALLROOMS 🔥
They're so terrified of upsetting him, they're happy to use the rest of us as human shields. First, they came for the...
He's running to mommy after one judge told him no, then two more told him no.
The first judge to halt construction was nominated by George W. Bush. The appeals panel said a 90,000 square foot ballroom is Congress's call, not something a president gets to help himself to. Both times he lost, so he went looking for a bigger grownup.
The Supreme Court gets to deal with the tantrum this time.
His lawyers are arguing the ballroom is required by national security. They actually wrote "a totally secure ballroom space" in a filing.
He held a UFC event outside, on the White House lawn.
The East Wing came down last fall to make room. Ten months later they say the ballroom is 65 percent finished and fully paid for by private donations.
They're also asking Congress for more money. Members of Congress say your tax money is already covering some of the work.
If donors are paying for it, whhy does he need more from the taxpayers?
The preservationists who sued say he's trying to outrun the courts, pouring 1 million pounds of rebar and 3,000 cubic yards of concrete in the next week alone. Build it fast enough and no ruling can undo it.
Roberts wants a response by Tuesday. The appeals ruling takes effect August 21.
We hung this on a bridge last fall. Still true. Judges can do it, but GOP politicians can't say "No!" to a dying pe*****le. GOP NEEDS BALLS, NOT BALLROOMS.
